BLOGTOBER CHALLENGE (DAY ONE): THE FIRST STEP

It’s been almost seven months since the father of this nation closed down schools as a measure to control the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. Initially, staying at home with so much uncertainty surrounding a return to school was very frustrating but after a few weeks I just accepted that it was the new normal. Online exams came and went without much fuss and then free time for whatever I wished to do. Let’s say I don’t know what I’ve done in the last six months but we move.

A couple of weeks ago, I was challenged by a good friend of mine, Poetess Akosua, to take up a blogging challenge for the month of October. I said yes immediately because I like new challenges and I was yearning for something to rekindle that writing fire within me.

Blogtober is an annual challenge where bloggers and content creators across the globe publish a post every day during the month of October. This challenge seeks to encourage content creators to post more content and have fun with it. It’s not limited to any specific topic or area and this allows creators to wander outside our comfort zones.

On the personal level, I’m ready to navigate unchartered waters, while making sure that I make an impact and entertain everyone who follows this 31-day journey.

For my lovely and loyal readers, expect nothing but the absolute best as we start a solid 31-day streak. I also hope that this challenge will inspire someone to start that blog, that story or anything that has been in the pipeline for a while now.

This is no doubt a daunting task, but one thing I know for sure is that people are cheering for me, others are itching to read and some a super ready to push this agenda.
