Your Books For 2021……

Today is the 4th day of the blogtober and it’s been a good start so far. For day 4, my good friend, Poetess Akosua says I should suggest five books to read in 2021. It’s really an interesting theme for today. (P.S. don’t ask me if I have read the books I’ll suggest.) Here we go!

Adaku At The Homowo Festival by Amy Owusua Asiedu:

This book won 2nd Prize for the Efua Sutherland Award for Children’s Story Books at the GAW Literary Awards in November, 2019. The book tells the story of a young Ga lady called Adaku, who comes to spend her vacation with her grandparents. Her arrival coincides with the Homowo festival, giving the chance to witness the festival of her people. This book falls within the category of children’s story book but provides a wealth of knowledge of the history of the Ga people and the Homowo. This book was birthed from years of research, hard work and dedication. My personal relationship with the writer gave me a front seat place to witness the process of bringing this book to the people. You should grab this book and enjoy a walk through history.

Life Poems by Kwabena Osei-Danquah

This is an exquisite collection of poems which gives expression to the inner journeys we take in our attempt to live life to its fullest. These are the words of Professor Audrey Gadzekpo; Dean, Department of Communications Studies, University of Ghana. My words?? Kwabena Osei-Danquah gives us a feel of life’s experiences and a chance to reflect on our highs and lows while we continue to find our purpose in this life.

God Moments: Testimonies by Lydia Koranteng

This book is an inspirational book which records the various testimonies in the life of the author. The contents of this book will no doubt ignite a fire within you to put your faith in God completely. Read this book and receive a boost in your faith.

Behind the Mask: My Autobiography by Tyson Fury

This is a book by reigning WBC and lineal Heavyweight Champion which details the story behind Fury’s win against legendary unified heavyweight world champion Wladimir Klitschko in 2015, his struggles with mental health after that monumental win and the long recovery process. This is a real tell-it-all book with details many people weren’t privy to.

The Bible

Finally, finally, my dear Christian brothers and sisters, in the year 2021, the Bible should be your best friend. Study this good book and trust me you’ll enjoy the word of God.

That is that for today dear readers. I’ve provided some amazing book suggestions and I’ll welcome your suggestions too. Cheers!!
