When Men Pray……

Prayer is simply communication between man and God. From the foundations of the earth, prayer has always been used to interact with our Maker. Modern day religion, Christianity in particular, has emphasized the importance of prayer. During prayer, man speaks, God hears and acts or speaks.

Zooming into the main phase of this piece, it’s very necessary to know that when men pray things do happen. Men in this context is not gender-related but simply a general tern describing “mankind.” Many things happen when men pray……

When men pray, God acts on their behalf. There are many instances in the Bible where prayer brought the hand of God into motion. One such instance is Peter’s miraculous escape from prison (Acts 12:1-18). A fascinating story which ignites faith is Peter’s escape or rather divine release from prison. Reading Acts 12, gives evidence that the church never stopped praying to God for the life and freedom of Peter the Apostle. In modern times, it is unlikely that an angel would come and set an imprisoned Christian free but knowledge of the power of prayer is enough to have faith. The fervent and effective prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Evidence of God acting on behalf of his people is seen in the lives of David, Esther, Joshua, Paul and most importantly Jesus Christ.

Praying can move mountains and the Word of God emphatically delivers God’s promise that; “He will do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think….” This promise is an important one to us as believers. Imagine if when you pray to God, he does even more than you’ve asked for…..That is the power of prayer in man. God still moves in our lives not because we’re perfect but simply because we confess our sins in prayer, allowing that amazing Grace to work in our lives. Learn how to pray and PRAY……it’s an amazing experience
