Procrastination they say is the thief of a writer’s talent. Looking back at times we procrastinated, we are rather thankful that some of us still have our talents intact. That isn’t the theme for this piece though.

After my recent piece, I’ve been compelled to write about what inspired that piece. Not what but WHO? Singling out one person isn’t going to be a very popular decision. Before I single out anyone let me give a few mentions to people.
First, everyone who has read my blog religiously, commented, made corrections and simply been ever present. I appreciate all of you……….a lot. Then again, there’s another group who simply won’t let me rest. By that I mean those who always ask me when my next piece is going online. These people really keep me on my toes. I salute you all and say thanks. Since I’ve sincerely appreciated everyone, let me single one person out now
Usually as a writer you have just one muse and in writing it’s almost like high treason to have more than one muse. However, it may be ethical to have the proverbial second muse. There are various things that can serve as muses. In my case, a human muse is top of the list.
She’s probably the most uncomplicated woman I’ve met in m life. Like an open book, nothing written in fine print, just total openness. I must say when I got to know her, I realized that she could be one of the most talented people I know and almost definitely more talented than I am. It’s not just her writings, personality and intelligence alone that fascinate me, but the way she serves God. No one is more joyful than this Lady of God when it’s time to be in His presence. Into my 36th day of procrastination, she told me this ” No laziness in writing….when you start you end! Else you’ll cut your flow.” These words jolted me and less than 12 hours later, I had a brand new piece ready.
I really appreciate her words and I look forward to more works. Before I go though, in 2019, we’re going to collaborate and write some special pieces. And since she’s a minister in song, don’t be surprised if you see something drop. Thanks to you all. I pray for greater works in 2019. Happy New Year to all.
