Three years ago, I made a decision to start writing and put my works out there. I didn’t know if I could keep up with having to constantly research, write and post content that would keep my readers fully engaged. I was writing once a month, I had a whole stack of uncompleted and under-researched articles. There was no way I could manage a blog. My talent was crystal clear to all who read my unpublished articles and I personally knew I loved writing and had an unquenchable passion for it.
October 5th, 2018 I created this blog and decided to put all my efforts into making sure I sustained it. I was pushed to start it by a lovely lady Phoebe (http://sayit101.blogspot.com/?m=1), who also writes and read most of my unpublished articles. My initial target was to keep the blog up for one year and we see what happens next. I recently went through the articles I posted in the first year and I marvel at how I just managed to churn out such content consistently.
In the last three years it’s been a journey that blows my mind. I write, scrutinize my content and then I post. One thing that drives me is FEEDBACK. The feedback mainly in my WhatsApp messages is just mind-blowing. Sometimes the numbers here don’t tell me if I’m doing well or not but those comments in the DMs just lift my spirit. Writing comes naturally to me but I have my struggles. I have the tendency to suspend a piece if I feel it’s not going to have the desired impact. Sometimes I feel the work wasn’t the best and I get right back on the horse and work harder and better.

October has somehow become the month of surprises for me. What stands out most for me is the “Blogtober Challenge.” That was probably the most fulfilling month in a very long time. The ever beautiful and talented Poetess Akosua (https://poetessakosua.wordpress.com/) put me up to it. What I didn’t tell her when she made that proposal was “After 7 days I’m sure I’ll run out of mental ink and topics.” Safe to say, I exceeded my own expectations. I posted content every single day of October from the 1st to 31st without any major internal struggle. I enjoyed it and Hon. Poetess Akosua (https://poetessakosua.wordpress.com/) I’m thinking of a mini-Blogtober (say 16th-31st October 2021)…….. We’ll talk more about it soon.
“Dave you should write a book.” I can’t actually count how many times people have said this to me. There’s good news and then there’s the not so good news. The not so good news is that it’s not happening this year. The good news is that writing a book (of any kind) is part of the medium-long term plan for my writing journey. For now the goal is simple. Improve the hub, provide more content and influence others to write.

This journey has only been possible because you never left me to read my own work. You stood by me and helped me. Thank You. Cheers to our third anniversary together and to many more happy times together. My dear readers I love you all❤️❤️❤️
NB: I’ve been trying to come up with a nickname for my readers and followers. Any suggestions are welcome 👏🏼
