The longest year in the year 2020 came with a lot of promise. Yep you read that right, the longest year in 2020 is January. The usual New Year resolutions dominated and people kept complaining about being broke but after all these years it’s no longer a breaking news headline. I personally used January as a period to recharge my batteries ahead of a potentially long year. Then 2020 struck it’s first significant body shot.
This shot rocked us to the core and it was an unbelievable loss. We woke up one faithful day and the legendary Black Mamba, Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gigi passed away in a helicopter crash. Nine people died that day and the whole sporting world mourned a man who brought so much joy to the world of basketball and humanity. 2020s first blow was a hard one and many hoped that was all it had in store for us.
The shortest month in all of 2020 was relatively peaceful with a number of celebrations on the personal front. These moments of joy came with a few lessons that changed the course of the year 2020 for me. I know you’d like to hear about my lessons but that’s a story for another day. So there was Valentine’s day/ National Chocolate Day and you can imagine how it went for me. Herh! You ever just go home because the Valentine you’re not part?? Dave did just that!!! I gnashed but let’s not go into details. Well February was uneventful but quite a blessing.
To close this piece out I have a song for you…….. Valentine is coming where is your girlfriend? You are sitting at home……lonelllllllyyyyyyyyyyy
